TRANSCRIPT: Day 2 Renew Yourself | Meditation | Deepak Chopra and J Balvin

J. BALVIN: Our bodies have a natural healing response we all aware of. We know that normal cuts bruises a winter called another short-term healing takes place automatically.

But the healing response is also personal and your input is vital. Let's learn how to self heal every day and then DEEPAK CHOPRA will guide us into meditation.

DEEPAK CHOPRA

Doctors are called healers but medicine isn't responsible for healing. Inside you there is a complex healing response that embraces every cell and keeps you safe from potential illness in advance.

Setting aside the incredible complexity of the healing response, you make choices every day that fall into two categories.

One choice aids and healing, the other hinders feeling.

Self-care is important if you want your body to be healthy, active, full of energy, and in a state of wellness for your entire lifetime.

Every cell renewal constantly, that's the bottom line.

So if you don't make choices that hinder healing renewal will follow naturally.

The first step is to redefine healing.

The word has the same root as wholeness.

Anything you do to make yourself whole in body, mind and spirit, counts as healing and renewal.

You don't have to be sick wounded or traumatized to need healing.

All of us need to be whole and in a process of renewal in order for the body mind to keep thriving in a state of balance.

From a holistic viewpoint a depressed mind needs healing as much as a cut finger.

A feeling of low energy needs healing as much as a cold.

Technically anything that throws the body-mind out of balance is stressful.

It then naturally returns to a state of dynamic balance known as homeostasis.

Recognizing this internal rebalancing intelligence within you can simplify your understanding of healing and renewal.

In essence everything you do can either put stress on the body mind or help keep it in balance.

Speaking practically what kinds of experiences keep you in balance.

When you meditate you get totally out of the way and let the body-mind return to its state of dynamic restfulness.

In our peace and quiet is the best way to attain homeostasis.

You also encourage homeostasis when you feel contented.

When you focus on experiencing joy, love, and beauty and when you engage in something creative.

The old saying that laughter is the best medicine all souls true.

And so does the healing power of spending time walking and breathing in nature.

The opposite side of the equation where stress throws the body mind out of balance in damaging ways is marked by anxiety and worry depression, lack of sleep over stimulating the nervous system, through constant mental activity working too hard and not taking time to relax.

Unfortunately these experiences have become the modern way of life for millions of people and in challenging times daily stress can seem unavoidable.

Since the detrimental effects of stress have been known for decades the real work is finding the motivation to adopt habits that renew your body-mind and fit into your current life situation.

How can you motivate yourself to prefer a healing lifestyle to a stressful one.

The first step is to admit that you want and need a change.

The second step is to meditate which gives you a positive experience of non stress.

With this experience comes the habit of remaining calm, peaceful and joyful inside.

The key to motivation is that inner peace is far more enjoyable than the daily agitation of stress.

By repeating the experience of inner calm a personal transformation takes place and you find that you are actually your own best healer.

As we prepare to meditate together, let's take a moment to consider our centering thought:

"I bring my body into healing and balance".

"I bring my body into healing and balance".

Now let's prepare for our meditation. Make yourself comfortable and close your eyes. Begin to be aware of your breath and just breathe slowly and deeply. With each breath allow yourself to become more deeply relaxed.

Now gently introduce the mantra:

LAM LAM LAM.

This mantra brings balance, stability and healing in the mind and body and provides a calm peaceful basis for balance in your life.

Repeat it silently to yourself: LAM LAM LAM.

With each repetition feel your body, mind and spirit, open into an expanded state of awareness.

Whenever you find yourself distracted by thoughts, noises or physical sensations, simply return your attention to silently repeating the mantra. I'll remind the time and you'll hear a soft bell at the beginning and end of the meditation.

LAM LAM LAM.

It's time to release the mantra. Continue to sit restfully inhaling and exhaling slowly. When you feel ready gently open your eyes. As you continue with your day, contemplate the centering thought:

"I bring my body into healing and balance

I bring my body into healing and balance".

Namaste.-
